Frequently Asked

What sets a natural soy candle apart from paraffin?

Soy is plant-derived — it burns cleaner and longer, is biodegradable, and holds up well in Singapore's warm, humid climate. Paraffin, by contrast, is a petroleum by-product: it soots more easily and can release phthalates, sulfates and other harmful compounds as it burns. In the workshop you'll handle soy, coconut, paraffin and palm side by side and feel the difference for yourself.

How should I cure and first-burn my candle for the best scent?

Ideally, let your candle cure for a full week before its first light — this deepens the scent throw. On the first burn, allow the wax to melt right to the edge (about 2–3 hours) to set an even "memory pool" and prevent tunnelling, and trim the wick to roughly 6mm before each lighting.

Will the fragrance truly fill a room once it's lit?

Yes. Natural botanicals bloom as the wax warms — what makers call the "hot throw" — releasing a rounder, more layered scent than you notice cold. Our artisans help you balance a blend for a generous, even throw.

Do I take my candle home the same day, or does it need to set?

You'll carry it home on the day — it's touch-set before you leave and fully solidified within a few hours. For the best scent throw, wait a week before the first burn. Prefer not to carry it? We're glad to arrange complimentary local delivery islandwide.

Are the waxes, fragrances and botanicals all natural — and is it safe?

Entirely. Our candles are natural soy, vegan and free from synthetic fragrance oils. Dried botanicals are placed with care, away from the wick, for a clean and safe burn. Families are welcome; for the hot-wax pour we recommend ages 7 and up with adult supervision.

Can you host a private celebration or corporate team-building?

With pleasure — birthdays, hen's parties and team sessions are among our favourites. Fill in our enquiry form or message us on WhatsApp to plan. You're welcome to bring a cake or a bottle of wine; a $50 service fee applies for outside food & drink.

How may I pay — do you accept PayNow?

Yes. We accept PayNow, cash, all major credit & debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, WeChat Pay and Alipay.
